I have owned this truck for 3 years. I purchased from Idaho on Ebay. This is a very nice truck that is driveable and fun the way it sits or a very solid base for an easy restoration. The important parts of the truck are rust free. Solid body mounts, rocker boxes and floors. The paint is not origional but is an older repaint. No signs of any accidents or body filler. This truck is a CST with full interior and everything is there. The top is also the CST version with full liner. This truck is a head turner everywhere it goes, and I have also won a couple peoples choice awards at local cruise nights. 350 V8 with 350 turbo trans.
I will list the good and bad as I know it so as to paint as complete a picture as possible for you to make a good decision. My ultimate goal is that there are no surprises at end of auction.
The GOOD:
Solid truck rust free in all the right places
New tires
Interior in good shape
New dash pad and arm rests
Runs and drives good
Fresh rebuild on lower end of engine (5000 miles)
The BAD:
Outer rockers have rust (picture)
Driver door slight surface rust (picture)
Drivers side behind door has rust (picture)
Drivers door has dent (picture)
Needs tailgate (slightly bent from backing into wall with the spare tire) ( still operates fine)
The AVERAGE:
Paint has small imperfections but shows average
Slight play in steering but pretty much normal for this year truck (even when new according to some..lol)
Front seats are not factory (grey cloth pontiac seats) but do offer alot of support and less bounce then origional
Top is in average shape ( no leaks, rear window operates, missing one strut for hatch)
This is an A/C truck but does not have the underhood components (complete from firewall back)
Doors are solid with minimal surface rust at bottom edge (pictures)
