I PURCHASED THIS JEEP IN MAY 2008 WITH HOPES TO DRIVE THRU THE SUMMER. BUT BETWEEN MY BUSY WORK SCHEDULE AND 2 OTHER CONVERTABLES, I DID NOT GET A CHANCE TO DRIVE THE CAR AS I WISHED. NOW THIS BEAUTY IS UP FOR SALE.
WHAT I KNOW ABOUT THE CAR:
I DROVE THE CAR WITH DEALER PLATES FROM A FRIEND OF MINE ABOUT 1000 MILES. IT DRIVES VERY NICE. NO PROBLEMS. PREVIOUS OWNER DID TONES OF WORK INCLUDING PUTTING A NEW ENGINE WITH LESS THEN 10000 MILES IN IT. I HAVE THE PAPERWORK. PREVIOUS OWNER HAD THE JEEP IN THE FAMILY SINCE IT WAS BRAND NEW. HIS DAUGHTER USED IT UNTIL THE ENGINE WAS BLOWN. THEN HE GOT THE CAR FROM HIS DAUGHTER AND BUILT IT FOR HIS SON FOR DAILY DRIVING.
HERE IS WHAT HE DID;
Motor was replaced with a factory motor with 8-10,000 miles on it. Motor is virtualy new. Paid $1200. have the paperwork to prove it.
New clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, resurfaced fly wheel, new piliot bearing
New radiator, belts, hoses,
New battery, new exhaust,
New brakes front and rear (this is a complete brake job; new rotors and pads),
New tires, new rims, new headlights, new alternator(Tires and Rims cost about $1500 alone)
One year old soft top
New wiper blades
New gabrile shocks (4)
New KN air filter w/tornado installed
New NY STATE inspection
New aftermarket step rails
New aftermarket gas cover
Tires are Goodyear Wranglers and are brand new.
I HAVE WORK ORDERS AND RECEIPS THAT IS OVER $4000 SHOWING PUT IN THIS VEHICLE. IT IS IN MECHANICALLY BRAND NEW CONDITION. ALL YOU NEED SOME COSMETIC WORK AND IF YOU PREFER TO HAVE CARPETS INSTALLED IN IT, YOU ARE GOOD TO GO.
