For Sale: 1979 Jeep CJ5 Custom Rock Crawler
Front Axle: Dana44 HD, high pinion, hydraulic ram steering, leaf spring suspension, custom reverse shackle setup.
Rear Axle: Dana 70, Y rear link with Johnny joints,
Drive Train: Rebuilt AMC360 fuel injected holly, 727 automatic with low 1st, Dana 300 twin sticks, aluminum radiator, new drive shafts
Body and Frame: The CJ5 body was cut at the doors and new panels were made and welded in. The body is Hurculined so rust will ever be a problem. The frame was cut and boxed for a factory like finish. With the roll bar cage welded in 8 spots the frame has little flex. Some like the fram and body to flex but this will cause long-term problems. I wanted the flex in the suspension travel so you can have reliability and stability on and off the road. There is a 9500 high speed warn wench.
Wheels Tires: 16.5 8 bolt steel wheels and 40" Super Swampers, 3/4 tread
Interior: full exoskeleton roll cage 8 point welded to frame, Entire cage and tub have Hurculiner, two plastic racing seats, 5 point harnesses, GT grant steering wheel,

This Jeep was custom built by well-known builder in Clearwater Florida and is ready for the trails! We thought the CJ5 was two short so it was stretched 21 inches for a stable ride and a one of a kind look. It is mechanically sound and needs little no known work! I am selling this because I just do not use it on trails often enough. And it setting just hurts so I would love for someone to use it has was built for. Title is free and clear and will be rendered at purchase or pick up.
