Nice older Jeep Wranglers are getting hard to find. This auction is for a 1991 Jeep Wrangler Sahara! This Jeep being offered here: HAS THE EFFICENT 2.5-LITER FOUR CYLINDER ENGINE!
HAS A VERY NICE BODY, BLACK TOP AND WHEELS!Older Jeeps in this kind of condition aren’t easy to find and interest an awful lot of people!
Recently we’ve had to start requiring that our bidders have a Paypal account to bid. We’ve regretfully had to do this because of the sharp increase in deadbeat, non-paying, bidders since eBay has changed their feedback policy. As you have already seen this is one sweet looking Jeep considering it is almost 16 years old! These are always nice, safe, reliable beasts to have around because they are solid, get good fuel economy, and are very reliable 4x4s. The 4-cylinder engine is very comfortable on the road and returns good fuel economy for its size! The Sahara model was a little more civilized that the standard Wranglers and, most importantly, had real doors that locked and real windows (even though they are of the sliding variety). The exterior of this Sahara is rust and damage free. The paint is in good condition except on the top of the hood where the clear has peeled away leaving it sort of blotchy looking. Otherwise all we noticed was pretty much the normal little nicks and scratches that anyone would expect to see on any older vehicle. In the case of a 4x4 this means it is in really great condition and we sincerely doubt that this Jeep ever did anything more serious than the California beaches. It is a really nice one! For a 17 year old Jeep interior we were very happy! The tan fabric seats are in very good condition. The only wear we found was a rip in the middle of the driver’s side seat bottom. Otherwise there is not much wear at all showing. This is really a beautifully kept interior for its age!The dash area is in very good condition. The stock stereo has been replaced with a very nice Sony digital CD player. The stock stereo is included with the Jeep. All the gauges work except for the clock. We were very pleased with this Jeep. Many older 4x4s are all torn up but it is obvious that this one was very well cared for and not abused. Under the hood is the Jeep 2.5-liter, fuel-injected four cylinder engine. It starts and runs great with no leaking or smoking! This engine is reliable and very inexpensive to maintain! It gives great torque and is still rated to return excellent fuel economy even by today’s standards! You can see how clean everything is!
The five speed manual transmission and the clutch both felt fine when we were driving it around. We checked the vacuum actuated 4x4 system and it worked!
