1995 Range Rover County Classic
This is the last year of Range Rover County Classic production and is one of the few vehicles denoting that with her original “Range Rover Classic” rear badge. This means she has the revised dash with dual air bags, chrome bumpers and features similar to the then new Land Rover Discovery and makes the interior and some mechanical items that much more desirable. This is a relatively low mileage example that has never had any body or frame rust at all. There is no hidden body work and this Range Rover has been repainted only once (except the roof) due to fading of the original paint. This beauty comes from Naples Florida which is where I purchased her after a long search for a clean, well maintained, highly original, rust and damage free vehicle. She has had just two owners prior to my purchase very late in 2006.
Once purchased and transported via car carrier back to CT, I then had Land Rover professionals go through the vehicle and replace all normal wear and tear items along with some major expense items (transfer case and transmission) and desirable upgrades (full NRP stainless exhaust including cats) to insure that she would be a fully dependable daily driver for me and my daughter. Where possible, all items are factory replacement parts (or better such as the new fuel injectors), not aftermarket lower quality items. Please see the extensive list below of all items replaced. I have invested an outrageous total of $14,000 plus the original purchase price and transport from Florida! I can confirm that there has not been one instance of trouble since completion of the work done. She was purchased with 107k and now has a little over 115k on her. Included in the sale will be the supporting receipts for this work, a CD of the factory workshop and parts manuals, the original factory leather covered owners manual in excellent condition and an excellent but not installed factory CD player.
She is garaged and has not been driven when there was salt on the roads – I have a ‘winter’ Land Rover Discovery for that. Also of note is that there is no evidence of being owned by a smoker – no smells, clean original ashtray, etc.
I had expected to keep this Range Rover for a long time which is why I invested so heavily in her but recent enthusiasm and deals for a new Range Rover got the better of me!
The body: factory panels have no rust, no repair, only one very minor ding the size of a dime on the passenger side rear quarter panel. Paint is very nice and if polished by a professional detailer would look even better. The pictures show exactly how I maintain her on a weekly basis, washed, vacuumed but not detailed by a professional. Mud flaps are new and installed with stainless hardware. The underside of the vehicle is clean and rust free.
Interior: Very nice to excellent condition. Rear seats are as new. Front seats have no rips or tears and do show patina lines in the leather surface - look carefully at the top of the drivers seat for the most patinated area. Carpet is clean original. Headliner is new, replaced just prior to my ownership. Includes factory front and rear floor mats installed by me at time of my purchase.
Mechanical: Everything works and functions properly – no issues. Completely reliable without exception. Even the front diff swivel balls are clean and not pitted. There is a very slow drip from the rear engine seal and started about 4 months after switching to synthetic motor oil (typical).
Electrical: Fully sorted with only a few known items that I have not yet tended to. They are: front fog lights are covered because one was cracked on purchase and I needed to cover them to pass CT inspection. I have since acquired another excellent original fog lamp which is included in the sale of the truck. Rear window ECU has failed (so rear windows do not lower) and simply needs replacing – a good ECU is included. All door locks due not function when activated by the key door lock remote.
The only other item requiring discloser is that the sunroof fabric sunshade is difficult to slide open and shut (it works; it’s just difficult to slide). Rest assured that the sunroof itself functions perfectly, no leaks, no issues – just the sun shade.

10/6/09 - Please note that the trouble prone air suspension has been replaced with coil springs and Bilstein shcks all around. Like the new headliner and tires, this was also done just prior to me taking ownership.
