You are bidding on an absolutely gorgeous, impeccably maintained Porsche Cayenne. I will try to give an exhaustive description of the car to include all that I would want to know if I were considering the purchase of a car on the internet, perhaps sight unseen. Here goes:
Who am I? My name is Doug, and I own an independent German auto repair shop in Denver Colorado. I have been in business since 1985 and like to think our shop is highly regarded by most local German car afficianados. Last month, we tuned an E39 BMW 540i which was published in Bimmer Magazine--we were all very proud. Anyway, as a service to certain clients, who have exceptional or rare German cars, we help them sell their vehicles on the internet. We have predominantly older clientele and many of them simply do not know how to use the internet. We typically dont list "common" cars, because more often than not, people are unwilling to buy a car out of state when there are 15-20 just like them in their own hometown. If we have a vintage Bimmers, BMW M cars, or in this case, a low mileage, gorgeous, well maintained Porsche Cayenne, then Ebay is an excellent avenue for which to bring buyer and seller together. We charge a flat fee to take pictures and to list the car--we are in no way, shape, or form on any commission from our clients. We simply charge them to do the listing, the same way we would charge for calipers or rotors--it is a service so to speak. Hey--its almost 2009, the world is changing, even for auto repair shops. Our clients really like this service, because it allows them to put their vehicles on a national stage, and we take care of all the leg work for them. We even field phone calls and arrange test drives if you are local. It works out quite well because we typically know the cars well having maintained them, so we can answer all questions with knowledge and authority. After the auction ends, the winning bidder will deal directly with the owner to arrange payment and title exchange. We will assist in all shipping needs as an added service to our client. Well...here goes:
Car's history: This is a two owner vehcile. The second owner, our client, purchased the car with only 19K miles on it. Russ is an absolute German car fanatic, and as such, he maintains his cars religiously. He is an older gentleman, no children, so the Cayenne has no kid, dog, or grocery store wear and tear. Russ is only selling it because he recently purchased a brand new BMW X5...4.8 of course.
Mechanical condition: All records are avialable to prove this car's pedigreed existance. Many people tell you they changed the oil every 3K with synthetic--this car has records to prove it. It runs perfectly and was recently serviced at our shop ($1000 dollar major service) so it needs absolutely nothing.
Glass: no chips or cracks...factory tint only which is very elegant
Tires: Brand new matching Toyos Proxes--80% all the way around (we replaced them 8 months ago)
Wheels: no flaws to disclose; no bends and no curb rash
Brakes/rotors: both were done last week--100% front and back
Electrical: all lights, cruise control, signals, heated seats, power windows, power seats, power sunroof, etc etc work to perfection. All pixels and computer modules work perfectly
Paint: The paint on the car looks perfect. I went around the entire car and could not find a single scratch or dent to disclose; the front has a very well done clear bra on it--no flaws
Interior: seats are perfect--as stated above...no kids or dogs in this SUV, so not a single wear spot or tear in any of the leather. carpet is perfect; headliner is perfect; no smoking ever in this Porsche
Any after-market parts in this car? Absolutely not! Only Porsche OEM replacement parts have been used.
I live in Denver and would like to see it? Sure--call me and/or come by the shop. We have it inside (under a cover).
Would the car be ok to drive across the country if I win?: Absolutely--it will be the nicest ride of your life.
Will you pick me up at the airport? Be happy to.
Does the current owner have the title? Yes--ready to sign over to you after funds recieved in full
Will you take less than 25K? Russ has listed the car for 25K, which is 5K under book for this car. He listed it as such for quick sale. As such, he is firm on price.
Well thats all I can think of--this car is going to make someone very very happy. If you would like to discuss the car, please feel free to contact me directly at any time. Again, my name is Doug and I can be reached at 303-807-1863. Russ has respectfully asked to speak only with the winning bidder. Winning bidder will contact owner directly to exchange money and title. I will help with any necessary shipping or airport pickups.
Good luck!
