This Jeep is being relisted from about 3 weeks ago. Up for sale is a 1946 Willys Jeep that I bought from an an elderly gentleman's estate sale in February. This is a very early CJ2a that originally came with a column shift. I have not had the time to devote to rebuilding it and now I must sell it to make room for other vehicles. I got this jeep running with a basic tune up. It has a Buick 231 V6, power steering conversion and add on turn signals. This jeep does need work. The front left frame horn appears to have a slight tweak downward on the left side. The jeep will also need 2 left rear wheel studs as indicated in the photos. It has the usual rust in the usual places for a vehicle this old. Floor holes, partial tub support, and the 1/4 fender and step ups. I have bought and installed new Military tires and factory rims. I have also put a new ignition switch in. The steering column appears to be out of a 73-79 chevy pick up with tilt. I do not have the original column. The column shift can be re-installed from a DJ3-A. The jeep will probably need brake repair. As I say, I have just gotten it running and have driven it in my pasture. 4WD works in low and high and the pto spins, but is missing the shaft and output box at the back. Body is in fair condition with dents, surface rust and fiberglass patching. The glass is good and the windshield folds down correctly and without issue. There is a winch on the front. I have no idea what it is off of. I think with a bit of mechanical and electrical know-how it could be made operable. This is a fun jeep to putt around in for now. This would make an excellent start on a restoration project or with minimal work a great hunting vehicle. This jeep also comes with the factory 4 cyl jeep motor the old man put on a starting stand. He must have been in the process of rebuilding it before he died, as the motor has been painted and rewired for 12 volt. It does turn over and will run for a short while if you prime the carburetor. I take my 100% positive rating very seriously. I have described this vehicle to the best of my ability without embellishment. If for any reason this jeep does not live up to the description above, you don't pay, its that simple. Having said that, be serious about bidding, and bid with confidence. I would not consider this jeep road worthy yet. Winning bidder should bring a trailer. This jeep is for sale locally and I reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time. Thanks for looking. I have taken the gas tank off and cleaned it to remove most of the sediment. I have blown out the gas lines with compressed air and ran a new length of wire to the sending unit. It seems to be running much better. Thanks for the overwhelming response to this jeep. It does have a clear MO title. As with anything that is mechanical over 60 years old, after I cleaned the gas tank, it developed a pin hole from the rust I removed. It will need brazed or a new tank. Kaiser Willys has them for 149.00.. The engine on the stand (based on all the response from viewers and other jeep people) is a 4L134 supersonic. I do not think this is the numbers matching motor that came out of this particular jeep. I will try to add photos of the motor plate--Just trying to keep everything current as possible.. thanks so much.
